Marney Cullen, CP

Marney Cullen, CP, has nearly four decades in the legal industry with experience in various practice areas including civil litigation, employment and labor, real estate, insurance defense and international transactional law, and she has worked in practice environments ranging from corporations to multi-national law firms.

Marney is passionate about uplifting the reputation of the paralegal profession, raising the bar for educational standards and opening new career avenues for paralegals. In her work with MPA, she hopes to foster open and ongoing dialog with other paralegal associations, educators, state bar representatives and attorneys in facilitating the necessary change for that growth to take place.

Outside of her work as the Senior Paralegal with Martone Legal, LLC, Marney provides advocacy services for students struggling with disabilities who require 504 services or an Individualized Education Plan through their school district and serves on the board of directors for a national healthcare charity.

She spends her spare time travelling and working at renaissance faires as a musician and shopkeeper with her husband, enjoying various needlework and fiber arts, and running herd on her five “differently-wired” offspring, several grandchildren and a variety of livestock on th
e family farm.

Mandy Chapman, LPM

Mandy Chapman is a litigation paralegal in the St. Louis area. In her over 20 years in the field, she has worked on medical malpractice, class action, municipal law, business, eDiscovery, personal injury, privacy breach (HIPAA), and health law matters.

In 2011, Mandy earned the Registered Paralegal (RP) designation through NFPA. In 2014, she was honored with the Paralegal Legend Award from the St. Louis Paralegal Association. In 2018, Mandy obtained a certification in Legal Project Management and advanced certification as an LPM Coach. An avid advocate for the public education of the paralegal profession, she has previously held several leadership positions with the Missouri Bar Association's Paralegal Committee, MPA, STLPA, and has sat on advisory committees for paralegal education colleges. Mandy has published professional articles in the legal industry and regularly presents CLEs on myriad topics.

In her spare time, Mandy enjoys kayaking, building/reno projects, and transporting and hospice fostering for dog rescue groups.

Nicole Eaton, CP

Nicole Eaton is a distinguished certified paralegal with 24 years’ expertise in civil litigation, bankruptcy, and general legal practice. Her career spans decades of navigating complex legal landscapes with precision and dedication. From drafting legal documents to conducting research and supporting trial preparations, her role is pivotal in ensuring legal excellence. She possesses a profound understanding of procedural intricacies and has consistently upheld the highest standards of professionalism. Known for her meticulous attention to detail and strategic insights, she continues to be a trusted asset in the legal profession, adeptly supporting attorneys and clients alike with her extensive knowledge and experience.

 

Nicole also serves as the Professional Development Director for the Kansas City Paralegal Association and is an active member of NALA. In her spare time, Nicole enjoys volunteering with animal rescue groups, area innocence projects and committees, and assists with her community and local church. In addition, Nicole has been married to her husband of 19 years, has three adult children, and one grandchild. Nicole’s family also consists of four fur-children and one fur-grandchild.

Kristi Kline, CRP

Kristi has been a member of MPA for eight years and has served as President, Secretary, Treasurer, Budget Committee Chair, and Membership Chair. She has been working as Senior Paralegal for ten years at the Williams Law Firm. She obtained her associate’s degree in paralegal studies in 2018 and received her CRP designation in 2021.

Kristi has been married for 24 years and they have two grown children and have owned and operated a storage facility in Sunrise Beach for 22 years. Kristi enjoys spending time with her family and friends and loves caring for her animals.

Vikki Lager

Vikki is a litigation paralegal in Kansas City. She has worked in the legal field for 16 years. She has experience with insurance defense, personal injury, property damage, product liability, premises liability, correctional health care, and construction defects. Vikki has been married for 35 years. She and her husband lived in South America for 11 years and she is fluent in Spanish and proficient in Portuguese. Vikki is very pleased to have the privilege to work with MPA to advance the paralegal profession and provide networking opportunities to paralegals statewide.

Patrick Mickey

Attorney, Board Member

With over two decades of experience, Patrick Mickey has impressive credentials. A graduate of SLU School of Law, Patrick has been an adjunct professor of Trial Advocacy, a member of the Volunteer Lawyers Program of Legal Services of Eastern Missouri, named a Super Lawyers Rising Start, a member of the National Trial Lawyers Top 100 Civil Plaintiff Lawyers, among many other accolades. 

Patrick advocates fiercely for the ethical utilization and growth of paralegals. The MPA Board is honored to have Patrick on the Board!

Nicole Sasser

Director, Central District

Nicole Sasser is an experienced litigation paralegal dedicated to providing exceptional support to attorneys and clients. Currently, Nicole is a paralegal at Ellinger Bell in Jefferson City, Missouri, where she specializes in a wide array of corporate, state, and local government matters. Her previous experience includes various paralegal roles across diverse practice areas in Missouri and Texas.

 

Nicole obtained an Associate of Applied Science in Paralegal Studies, earned with the highest honors, and was a founding member of the campus paralegal organization.

 

Outside of her professional endeavors, Nicole enjoys reading, scenic motorcycle rides, and spending time with her teenage son and two dogs at home in Lake Ozark, Missouri.

Please note there are currently open Board positions in the Western, Central, and Eastern Districts. A full board includes four Directors from each District, a member of the public, an attorney, and a Board Advisor (15 total seats).
